I was diagnosed at 29, after an array of symptoms over months that I hadn't put together. Started very well controlled but have struggled with MDI due to my busy lifestyle as a contractor. Jasmine
I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes on the 3rd November 2010. I am now a semi-professional women’s rugby league player, currently playing for York Valkyrie and England Women. Over the years, controlling my diabetes and playing semi-professional sports has been very challenging however, in recent years it seems to be getting slightly easier with programs in place with CGM's and working with my t:slim to create that closed-loop system. Since this, I’ve seen a massive difference in my HBA1C.

Jessica
Diagnosed with Type 1 in 2002, Jess hasn’t slowed down one bit. As a wife, mum and registered DSN, Jess’s obsessions with Taylor Swift, cake and chickens don’t deter her from her burning passion - diabetes care.
